那是一个忙碌的早晨，大约八点半，医院来了一位老人，看上去八十多岁，是来给拇指拆线的。
他急切地对我说，9点钟他有一个重要的约会，希望我能照顾一下。
我先请老人坐下，看了看他的病历。心想，如果按照病历，老人应去找另一位大夫拆线，但那至
少得等一个小时。出于对老人的尊重，正好当时我有一点空闲时间，我就来为老人拆线。我拆开纱
布，检查了一下老人的伤势，看到伤势基本已经愈合，便小心翼翼地为老人拆了线，并为他敷上一
些防止感染的药。在治疗过程中，我和老人攀谈了几句。我问他是否已经和该为他拆线的大夫约定
了时间。老人说没有，他知道那位大夫9点半以后才上班。我好奇地问："那你还来这么早干什么
呢？"老人不好意思地笑道："我要在9点钟到康复室和我的妻子共进早餐。"
这一定是一对恩爱的老夫妻，我心里猜想，话题便转到老人妻子的健康上。老人告诉我，妻子已
在康复室待了相当长一段时间，她患了老年痴呆症。谈话间，我已经为老人包扎完毕。我问到："如
果你去迟了，你妻子是否会生气？"老人解释说："那倒不会，至少在5年前，她就已经不知道我是谁
了。"
我感到非常惊讶："5年前就已经不认识你了？你每天早晨还坚持和她一起吃早餐，甚至不愿意
迟到一分钟？"老人笑了笑说："是啊，每天早上9点钟与我的妻子共进早餐，是我最重要的一次约
会，我怎么能失约呢？"
"可是她什么都不知道了啊！"我几乎脱口而出。
老人再次笑了，笑得有点甜蜜，仿佛又回到了几十年前两人恩爱无比的甜蜜日子里，老人一字一
句地对我说："她的确已经不知道我是谁了，但是，我却清楚地知道她是谁!"
听了老人的话，我突然想掉眼泪，我心中默想：这不正是我和很多人一生都在期望的那种爱吗？
真正的爱，未必浪漫，但一定是真挚的；真正的爱，在自己心间。
